TESTIMONIALS
to a sound burial alternative

 The Floyd Family
To whom it may concern, from
Karen D Adams (Floyd), Loving Daughter

Not only is a "Green Burial" an eco-friendly burial option, it is an opportunity for family and friends to unite in order to comply with the wishes of the loved one.

My Mother requested a green burial many years ago.  We, her four daughters, truly united as a family; in a way we had not been afforded the opportunity in many years. We gathered great strength and complimented each individual’s abilities in order to transport her body six hours north of Tampa, select her serene site, lower her into the ground and final resting place, perform a loving ceremony, cover her body with the ground that would prepare her remains to decompose so as to fertilize the surrounding vegetation, and finally to conclude with a family picnic in the outdoor chapel.  The nature preserve’s wild life and natural environment complimented my Mother’s departure in a way unimaginable until experiencing the actual moment.

I thank the Glendale Memorial Nature Preserve, and especially John and Barbara, for providing a most joyful experience while celebrating the life of my dear mother, Barbara J Floyd.  I am truly fortunate and privileged to be her daughter.

I love and miss you Mom!
